TEAM ART CLASH 2009 - JUNE 6th

Live art battle

10 teams with two artists per team have been invited from all around Europe to compete against each other over 3 rounds, painting and drawing on different objects.
After every round judges will vote on the best creations selecting teams to go through into the next round, ultimately leaving 3 teams battling it out in the final to become the ART CLASH champions for 2009.

Other tasty treats on the day include a public drawing-wall, pop-up shop, chill-out area and a bar serving the finest beverages and food available. So come on! Everybody is welcome to join the fun, this is one experience that you do not want to miss.

1st round: 15:00 - 16:30
2nd round: 17:00 - 19:00
Final: 20:00 - 21:30
Award ceremony: +/- 22:00

This year Art Clash will be a team battle with 2 artists per team. 10 teams will be invited.
The rest remains the same: 1 day, 3 rounds and 3 objects.
With FREITAG we found a fair and authentic partner and their production-hall is the location we were looking for all the years.

Malik, the winner of Art Clash 2007 is going to exhibit in Carhartt store Zürich. Part of the deal for the winner was the limited T-Shirt serie for Carhartt. It will be sold exclusively at the vernissage. See you there.

This Saturday at Rote Fabrik in Zürich.
Live-tournament starts at 4 o'clock: A contest between 16 chosen artists, graphic designers and pennerds from Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Spain, England and Denmark. 3 rounds for 3 different objects.
From 10 o'clock on Frank Brown Disco, DJ Rolexx and Tubbs will play the big tunes at the after-clash party called "Clash Bash".

ART CLASH 2007

What is "Art Clash"?

__EN:
„Art Clash“ is the „Battle of the year“ of design, a „Write for gold“ for graphic designers, a MC-Battle for artists.
„Art Clash“ is a live tournament over 3 rounds between 16 international graphic designers, writers, artists and painters.
In each round the artists get a different object, which has to be painted originally.
After each round a renowned jury estimate the artistic objects and decide who will be able to continue into the next round.
Allowed are all non-digital painting techniques.
The winner of the final round awaits fame, prize money and his own t-shirt collection for Carhartt.
Still more the basic idea is a get-together of national and international artists, who compete against each other in an easy way and cope their creations with each other.

Der „Art Clash“ ist das „Battle of the Year“ des Designs, ein „Write for Gold“ für Grafiker, ein MC-Battle für Künstler.
Der „Art Clash“ ist ein Turnier über 3 Runden zwischen 16 internationalen Grafikern, Writern, Künstlern und Maltalenten.
In jeder Runde gilt es die vorgegebenen Objekte möglichst originell und gekonnt zu gestalten. Anschliessend an jede Runde bewertet eine renommierte Jury die gestalteten Objekte und entscheidet über Weiterkommen.
Es ist jede nicht-digitale Maltechnik erlaubt.
Dem Sieger der Finalrunde winken Ruhm, Preisgeld und seine eigene T-Shirt Kollektion für Carhartt.
Viel wichtiger ist jedoch die Grundidee, nämlich das Zusammentreffen von Künstlern, welche in einer ungezwungenen Form gegeneinander malen.

The first ever "Art Clash" was held in a huge empty industrial hall in Aarau in summer 2005.
Out of the the 12 clashers the public voted Florian Hauswirth as the happy winner.
